Beaufort Sea Partnership
Fisheries and Oceans Canada
The Beaufort Sea Large Ocean Management Area (LOMA) is one of five priority areas identified for integrated ocean management planning by the Government of Canada. It is located in the extreme northwestern corner of Canada, and includes the marine portion of the Inuvialuit Settlement Region. The Beaufort Sea Partnership web site houses information pertaining to integrated oceans management and planning, and marine conservation initiatives inside the Beaufort Sea LOMA.

The Boundary Waters Treaty of 1909 provides principles for Canada and the United States to follow in using their shared boundary waters. The treaty established the International Joint Commission (IJC) and the ongoing work of the IJC helps prevent and resolve disputes on issues concerning boundary waters between Canada and the United States.
